Is there any entry fee?
There is no entry fee. It's a FREE event
Can I enter on the day?
Yes. You can enter on the day at either Harcourt Park or Stokes Valley starting from 9.00am
Can I bring my dog along?
While the Hutt River Trail is still open to the public during the event and we can't stop you, we strongly recommend that you DO NOT bring your dog with you. With over 1,000 other cyclists expected on the day, having animals on the track could cause safety issues.
Are there toilets along the way?
Yes, there will be toilets at Harcourt Park and Stokes Valley starts and at the finish line at Hikoikoi Reserve. There are also public toilets along the trail - look out for the signs.
What do I have to bring?
Bring along your bike, an approved cycle helmet, snacks, a drink bottle and sunscreen. We recommend some cash for snacks at the finish, there will be a BBQ, coffee and refreshments.
Is there a photographer present?
Yes, there will be a photographer present during the ride along Bike the Trail. He will be wearing a hi-vis vest identifying himself. If you do not want your photo to be used, please let the photographer know.
Will the event take place if it is raining?
The event will take place wet or shine. For up-to-date information, check our facebook page on the day.
Is return transport available?
Yes. FREE return transportation is available for you and your bike from 11am - 3pm from Hikoikoi Reserve.
Will I win a spot prize?
There are lots of spot prizes up for grabs but not everyone will win. Major spot prizes will be pre-drawn and only participants who have registered online will be eligible. The minor spot prizes are drawn randomly. Everyone has the same chance to be one of the lucky winners.
